The inspection was commissioned by one of Africa’s largest chicken processors, who is upgrading its current chicken slaughtering factory and preparing for a new high-capacity chicken processing line.
This visit marked the first of three factory audits, reflecting the client’s long-term confidence in HW Machinery’s role as a strategic partner for their expansion.
Project Background: Building Trust Through Collaboration
Since April 2025, HW Machinery has engaged in close communication with the client—through multiple online meetings, design revisions, and quotation adjustments. By late July, the client confirmed their first order, mainly for replacement of existing chicken slaughter line equipment, spare parts, and related machinery.
To strengthen the foundation for long-term cooperation, the client commissioned a third-party audit company to visit HW Machinery’s three specialized production bases. On September 3, the audit team began with Base 1 in Nanjing, dedicated to poultry processing line equipment and chicken slaughter machinery.
Audit Process: Comprehensive and Transparent
The inspection was conducted by an experienced auditor, who carefully reviewed:
- Business license, export qualification, banking credit documents, and ISO9001 certification.
- Staff qualifications, including design engineers, production workers, and QC inspectors.
- Production standards and quality tracking systems, covering raw material checks, in-process testing, final inspections, and pre-shipment checks.
- Hygiene and cleanliness across production workshops and warehouses.
- Documentation, photo, and video evidence for the final report.
The auditor was particularly impressed by HW Machinery’s product detail and engineering focus:
- Chicken plucker machines feature waterproof bearing protection with custom-designed lubrication holes to ensure bearings remain filled with grease.
- Key components are manufactured with durable aluminum instead of iron, reducing corrosion and extending machine lifespan.

Equipment Observed: Complete Poultry Slaughter Line
During the factory tour, the auditor inspected a 500BPH compact chicken slaughter line, witnessing the complete poultry slaughter process:
- Stunning & bleeding – Humane handling ensures food safety and animal welfare.
- Scalding & plucking – Carcasses pass through automatic chicken scalder machines and chicken plucker machines.
- Evisceration – Automatic removal of feet and internal organs using chicken feet cutters and gizzard processing machines.
- Cleaning & chilling – Carcasses are washed and cooled with chicken spin chillers to preserve freshness and hygiene.
Additional equipment seen on-site included water-bath stunning machines, rail systems, poultry scalder units, poultry plucker machines, spin chillers, feet processing equipment, and more.
